BetterDoctor Raises $10 million in Series A Funding

Exciting news:

In addition to helping over 10,000,000 people find better doctors and completely redesigning our iPhone and web apps recently, we have closed a $10 million round of funding!

It means that we get to work with New Enterprise Associates (NEA), one of the largest and most active venture capital firms in the world, who believed in our vision and took the lead on this round. We’re really happy that our existing investors SoftTechVC and Lifeline Ventures are staying on board, too.

We’ll be using the funds to grow our team and make our apps even more user friendly, delightful and extensive (in short, awesome).

With all the apps and gadgets available for people to improve their own health, as well as the opening of new data to make our healthcare decisions more educated, it’s an inspiring time to be working towards a more transparent and intelligent healthcare system. We believe that great doctors are–and will be–an essential core of that new system.

Do you agree? Let’s keep the dialogue open. We love to hear your thoughts.
