About BetterDoctor’s Panel:

Shopping for health care sucks. Consumers do not shop for health care as they shop for retail, travel, or real estate because it often only happens when there’s a health emergency. But the tides have turned and the consumerization of healthcare is on it’s way regardless of what way the ACA policy debate swings.

This panel brings together diverse voices who have built real consumer platforms to find care. From improving design, the accuracy of provider data to increasing transparency and access, speakers will go over what it will take for improving the health care shopping experience.

Panelist Speakers:

  • Heather Mirjahangir Fernandez, Co-Founder and CEO of Solv
As Solv’s CEO and co-founder, Heather brings more than a decade of executive management experience with leading consumer startups to the company. After experiencing firsthand how dramatically the real estate industry could be changed by creating a transparent and simple consumer experience, she founded Solv to transform healthcare for consumers. Prior to Solv, Heather served as senior vice president and general manager of business services at Trulia, Inc., where she led advertising product, market and sales strategy, which accounted for nearly $200M in annual revenue, through its acquisition by Zillow (NASDAQ: ZG) in 2015. She currently serves on the Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM) board of directors and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
  • Greg Gershman, Co-Founder and CEO of AdHoc
An experienced software developer and entrepreneur, Greg’s career has included work in both startups and government. Greg’s experience as a Presidential Innovation Fellow and as part of the “tech surge” that fixed HealthCare.gov after its troubled launch, and his belief that small, smart teams of developers can improve how government delivers services, led him to co-found Ad Hoc.
  • Ari Tulla, Co-Founder and CEO of BetterDoctor
Ari is the CEO and Co-Founder of BetterDoctor. Prior to BetterDoctor, Ari led Nokia’s game and application studios where he was responsible for the creation of thousands of mobile apps with over 100M downloads. Ari has over a decade of experience on creating new delightful consumer products and experiences.
